10 Spiritual Tips to Create Your Own Chakra-Based Daily Practice

If you’ve ever wondered how to make meditation, chakra balancing, and spiritual alignment a natural part of your day — without it feeling like another task on your to-do list — you’re in the right place. In this post, I’m sharing my personal body-mind-spirit routine, built through years of trial and error, that keeps my energy clear, my chakras balanced, and my spirit grounded. From simple morning rituals to evening wind-downs, you’ll see exactly how I integrate spiritual practices into everyday life — and how you can create a version that works for you.

How it all started

Years ago, after my parents passed away, I was drowning in grief. I wanted meditation to help me find calm, so I read every book I could find, I attended workshops, and gathered endless advice from spiritual teachers.

And yet — I still couldn’t quiet my mind.

One day it hit me: none of it mattered if I didn’t actually sit down and do it.

That moment changed everything. I committed to showing up for myself, even if it wasn’t perfect, even if I had to figure it out as I went. What followed was years of experimentation — trying new things, letting go of what didn’t work, and weaving the spiritual practices I loved into my everyday life.

Now, my body-mind-spirit routine isn’t something I “make time for” — it’s simply part of how I live. It keeps my chakras balanced, my energy clear, and my vibration high. Here’s what it looks like:

Morning Rituals

Breathwork in the shower – It’s my reset button before the day begins. While in the shower every morning, I take a couple of minutes to practice twelve rounds of “alternate nostril breathing.” This type of breathwork balances your Heart Chakra and instantly calm your mind, so you can move about your day feeling clear and purposeful. And in the shower, the steam makes breathwork even more impactful.

Manifesting while getting dressed – I have a specific Manifesting Journal that I write into every morning while I’m getting ready. I keep it next to my makeup bag so I remember to jot down my specific goals and intentions for the day. It helps me consciously project positive manifesting energy into my immediate future by opening my Throat Chakra, and then my day can unfold with intentional clarity.

Choosing crystal jewelry with purpose – My crystal jewelry is on my dresser. So every morning, I select the pieces with the type of vibration I might need for the day ahead. My obsidian necklace for safety and grounding (Root Chakra). The turquoise earrings when I want eloquence in speaking and ease in communication(Throat Chakra). My amethyst bracelet when I know I’ll need to tap into deep intuition (Third Eye Chakra).

Daily Practices

Yoga – Most days, I either teach a group class or work with a private student. But I always warm up on my own first — sometimes I practice the sequence I’ll be teaching, other times I tune into my body and ask it what stretches it needs to feel its best today, sometimes I just dance alone in the studio.

Time at my altar – Whether it’s five minutes or forty five, I sit at my altar inside my sacred space on most days. I might light a candle, meditate, create a crystal grid, pull oracle cards or cast runes. I love this moment in my day when I get to both ground and keep the energy fresh and flowing.

Work Flow

My workday is a blend of creative and client work:

Writing. Some of my workday is spent writing about the Chakras: social media posts, newsletters, blog articles, and course content. This is where I get to nerd out and dive deep into the spiritual topics that fascinate me! I’m like a “mad scientist”, researching all the cool stuff, experimenting with new body-mind-spirit practices, and then creating content to share all my insights and discoveries.

Private client work. My Chakra Alignment Sessions (either in person or on zoom) are where I work one-on-one with my clients, supporting them in finding balance and alignment. We release the energetic blocks that are holding you back so you can find the clarity to gracefully navigate your unique life’s path. I am so grateful to be able to hold space for my clients in this way and to share with them the practical spiritual tools I’ve gathered over the years.

Evening Wind-Down

Gratitude. Before dinner together as a family, we each share what we’re grateful for that day. This simple gratitude ritual helps to anchor in all the good things that have happened (and let go of the not-so-good things). I’m often reminded of the entries I had jotted down in my Manifesting Journal that morning and how grateful I am for everything that did indeed manifest.

Crochet while watching TV — Crochet is a simple creative outlet that brings me so much joy! I love to work on my projects while sitting with my family after dinner. This way, I get to enjoy our time together and still engage with my innate creative energy – in other words, keeping up with my crochet hobby is how I balance my Sacral Chakra and Throat Chakra every day.

Bedtime at 9:30pm. I start winding down at 9:30pm and am usually in bed by 10pm. Then there’s 30 minutes of novel reading to help my mind settle for a restful night’s sleep. I’m asleep by 11pm at the latest and the alarm rings at 7am the next morning, so I can get a good 8 hours of sleep every night.

The Lesson I’ve Learned

Spiritual practice doesn’t need to be intimidating, complicated, or rigid. You can take inspiration from others, but the most powerful practice is the one you create yourself — one that feels natural, supports your energy, and fits seamlessly into your life.

If you want a consistent practice that balances your chakras, clears your energy and keeps you grounded, start experimenting. Find what you love. Keep what works. Let go of the rest.

Your spiritual practice doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s — it only has to work for you.

I believe in the ripple effect: when one person raises their vibration through spiritual self-care, it uplifts everyone they meet.

When your chakras are in harmony, you move through life with more confidence and clarity — able to give from a place of overflow rather than exhaustion. By tending to your own energy first, you make the world a brighter, more balanced place.
